1. Dremio’s integrated data catalog allows us to search for datasets by simply typing a string in the search box. Once we type in the string, it will automatically provide a list of available datasets matching our search term.

    2. Navigate to the “Search Catalog” bar at the top of the screen. In the search catalog box, enter Taxi. You should return a result that matches this:
  2. Hover over the green grid icon, until you see and then click on the “i”. Dremio enables the exploration of the metadata of any dataset by selecting the i icon for the dataset. This option shows the number of Jobs, Descendants, fields, and data types for each field.

  3. Select the Virtual Dataset that says “Demo Taxi Reflection”. Dremio will load a preview of the dataset as you can see in the image below.
